UPDATE - I went with the ASUS TRANSFORMER INFINITY

WHY?

The battery was the determining factor. Google Nexus 10 has slow charging times and the battery lasts about  7+ hours on a full charge. The Transformer provides close to 9 hours and with the keyboard dock (I purchased the dock also, I got a great deal) about 14. Plus with the dock, a USB drive can be attached.
Additionally it is lighter than the Nexus 10
By no means will this replace a netbook and a full OS.
But,I do use my tablet 95% of the time when I am mobile and don't like to type on the screen.
I'll be giving the MRS this netbook since her laptop is dead.

I was considering the Asus Transformer Infinity but the resolution on the Galaxy Nexus 10 is crazy. My mind is pretty much set on the Nexus. I have been hesitant because there is no expandability and the camera is at 5 MP.
Although, on my Xoom I do have this expandability but never used it and I rarely take pictures from my tablet.
Its not that pretty but then again...isn't it always in a case?
I do watch movies, read and email from it....The Nexus will do nicely

Rooted my phone

I finally caved and rooted /unlocked my phone. The model that I have is an HTC Desire HD (AT&T HTC Inspire). The steps were pretty painless and completely automated. Of course, in time I will look to upgrade this phone.

There was once a time, when I would get excited about the new smartphones coming to the market but after getting a tablet, I really don't care. I find myself using the phone to:
1.  Make calls
2. Text with s
3. Data for emails and social media (I don't stream movies because the screen is too small)

Realistically, a consumer should be concern about the rate of the service. Its expensive and now most providers cap your data usage.

I researched and found that it would be better avoid getting sucked into a two year contract. Month to month service is more practical for the consumer and we are starting to see these wireless providers market this. Don't be surprised to start seeing an influx of unlocked phones being marketd .

So what service did I choose? In an upcoming blog post I will provide the details.
